Love's Masquerade is an entertaining book.Pros: The setting is in 1600s Europe, during the reign of Charles II of England, and I like stories about England during this time period. Part of the story is in Italy, and I like the descriptions about the country and what the people are doing. The storyline is interesting and follows the lives of Cassidy and his daughter, Angela. Cassidy is a gambler and all-around rogue moving from place to place, and Angela is dragged along in the process. Although loving and supportive, the young lady is getting tired of all the wandering. As their adventures unfold, Angela falls for Anthony, who is self-willed but also brave and chivalrous. At first, it doesn't seem things will work out for them but they discover they really do love each other. Together they do what is necessary to return an important item to its rightful owner.
Cons: The sex was a bit too explicit for my taste, but this is a romance story and it fits in that context. Let's face it, sex does sell. The editing could have been better also. I'm not too picky about that if I like the story, but it can be distracting for some people.
An enjoyable read for historical romance fans.

It was a combination of bad writing and bad editing. Tons of typos or misspellings of words, just not a good book.
Great story & the attention to historical details made this a very enjoyable historical romance read! Very entertaining!
Editing needs work. Enjoyable read overall. Solid characters. Interested in reading more historical fiction set during the same period. Liked that the story takes place in Venice.
A must read, full of mystery, death, thievery, love, and family loyalty. The characters are well developed with flaws that make them unique.
